Kelso Scholarship Contest
The 2018 Kelso Scholarship Contest is CLOSED. Look for the 2019 Kelso Scholarship Contest to open in early 2019.
With Canada headed toward a population of approximately 44 million people by 2050 (up from the present 36 million), such huge numbers will surely intensify many of our country’s most critical infrastructure problems. In thinking ahead, what can we build now that will contribute to Canada's growth for the next 30+ years? What grand challenges should we embrace?
Select ONE infrastructure idea from below, explain how it could help solve potential infrastructure issues related to the population growth, and describe what measures you would recommend our nation’s leaders take to ensure we continue to sustain and grow our infrastructure for generations to come. Submitted essays will be judged on research of the issues, explanation of the usefulness of implementing, and originality in recommended measures. Submissions must be between 800 and 1200 words.
